First supernovae may have seeded rocky planet building blocks 100 million years after the Big Bang phys.org

The dust grains that eventually become rocky planets may have first condensed around 100 million years after the Big Bang, in the ejecta of the very first supernovae. That is before galaxies existed - the raw material for worlds was apparently lying around long before there were proper places to put it.
